A Few Faces From the 100 faces in 100 days Project (More to come soon...)

This project hasn't been fully completed since I've been so busy with Grad school. However I will be graduating soon and am excited to have tons of time to finish what I have started. I've got to do a better job of carrying my camera around with me at all times.  With that being said, here are a few shots that I had stored on my computer... 

100 Faces in 100 days

This project is about more than finding 100 people to let me snap a photo of their faces.  It is about commitment.  I have to be able to successfully do something for 100 days without giving up.  Now I must tell you in advance I will not post all 100 faces, since my hope is to turn this into a book, but I will post 1 or 2 of my favs each week.  

I couldn't start the 100 faces project without sharing my #1 face...

As a matter of fact, her face will never look this way again. She lost a tooth about 5 hours after this was taken.  They grow too fast, and I'm so happy she got to be FACE #1 :)

Lost Blog

So today my mini spokesmodel got in trouble at school, and is on punishment, which means more time for mommy to think and get work done.  I know I have neglected this blog due to the ease of posting on Facebook, but I don't want you guys to feel slighted.

I decided to post a of the mini spokesgirl I took last month and her lil friend.

The bribe!

Behind the Lens at the "Beauty for Ashes" shoot...

The week before, I casually stumbled upon a quaint, off the main streets of Zang Blvd, small arts district.    The shops in this area were small in size but expressive.  When I saw the Bishop Arts District, I knew I had to set up a shoot there immediately. 

Fast forward to yesterday. I thought by having the models meet me at the location at 8:30am, I would be saving us all from showing signs of heat stroke as we set out to make magic.  However, I obviously forgot about one important detail... WE WERE SHOOTING IN TEXAS!!!  Geez, about an hour in, we were HOT and thirsty!  There was a shop owner who kindly gave us cups of ice water. I'm not a big tap water fan, but it was like finding an oasis in the desert! I offered to pay her, but she repeatedly refused. I even took my money out, but she refused. 

I couldn't let a good deed go unnoticed, so...

I am the proud owner of some Expressions Boutique sunglasses :)  Aren't they lovely??? Shout out to the kind hearted lady who owned this shop. Stop by and show her some love.  She's on the corner of Madison and Seventh.  You just may find something there that "expresses" who you really are.

Wedding Day Bliss

If I tell you, this woman had her wedding all put together by none other than herself.... Whew!!! This lady indeed was super woman.  She looked beautiful & her husband was beaming with pride the entire night.  I loved capturing their special day.
